As the holiday season approaches, heads up on seeing more advertisements for "sugar-free" holiday foods and for packages of powdered chemical sweeteners peddled to promote a "healthier" addition to your holiday cooking. False promotion of chemical sweetener safety is already being generated in magazines and on the web, so beware that this is actually "MISinformation" about the safety of aspartame and Splenda®. This month's newsletter has great feedback from consumers and journalists reacting to the latest TIME.com article on aspartame and sucralose safety; so, look out - these publications are generated to grab your money, not to secure your health or the health of your loved ones.
Here's a great tip for that "left-over" Trick-or-Treat candy (so YOU won't eat it!): donate it to your local nursing homes. The elderly love sweets, and they can resist eating too much at one time. But, before you recycle your unwanted sweets, make sure you throw out all the sugar-free candies. No one at any age should be eating sweets made with toxic chemicals.
