August's Healthy Recipe is a Homemade Electrolyte Drink. In the climbing temperatures, both humans and animals need to stay hydrated, and drinking plenty of pure water, and replacing your body's salt and electrolytes are essential. If you or the kids have been outside in this sweltering heat, mix a pitcher of your own "electrolyte" restoration drink, which helps restore vital nutrients.
Electrolyte Drink
Ingredients:
1 liter of water
1/2 tsp of baking soda
2 tbsp of agave nectar
1/2 tbsp of sea salt
Directions
Combine all ingredients in water bottle and sip as needed.
