Dr. Hull, I was listening to my favorite on-air naturopath, Mary Schrick, who was giving some fantastic info about buying fresh fruits/vegetables. She said:

You know the little stickers on the fruits/vegetables at the store? Well, if there are only 4 numbers on the sticker that means they were "conventionally" grown, meaning they use pesticides. If the sticker has 5 numbers, and the first digit is an "8", they have been genetically altered - steer clear. If the 5 digit number begins with a "9", that means they were grown "organically" - safe to buy.

I thought this to be extremely useful information - now I feel more empowered when shopping, and hope your readers will be, too!
