Eurax (Crotamiton is used to treat scabies infection. It is also used to relieve the itching of certain skin conditions.

SIDE EFFECTS: Irritated skin, severe allergic reactions in the form of rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; severe irritation.

Vermox (mebendazole)is an "antihelmintic," or anti-worm, medication. It prevents worms from growing or multiplying in your body. Mebendazole is used to treat infections caused by worms such as whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, and hookworm, and other worm infections.

SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause stomach upset, loss of appetite, diarrhea, fever, headache, dizziness, drowsiness or rash. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. Very unlikely, but report promptly: dark urine, yellowing of the eyes or skin. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver disease, malnutrition, anemia, allergies. Mebendazole should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if mebendazole is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Elimite (permethrin) kills parasites and their eggs. It is used to treat scabies (a skin infestation) and lice infestations of the head, body, and pubic area ('crabs'). Permethrin does not prevent these infestations.

SIDE EFFECTS: Use this medication exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended periods.

Do not take this medication by mouth. It is for use only on the skin, hair, fabrics, or other surfaces. Do not apply permethrin topical to open cuts or wounds. Do not use this medication if you are allergic to permethrin or to chrysanthemums. For the most complete treatment of lice or scabies and to prevent re-infection, you must treat your environment (clothing, bedding, pillows, furniture, hats, hair brushes and accessories, etc) at the same time you treat your body.

Avoid sexual or intimate contact with others until your lice or scabies infection has cleared up. Avoid sharing hairbrushes, combs, hair accessories, hats, clothing, bed linens, and other articles of personal use. Lice and scabies infections are highly contagious.

FDA pregnancy Category B. Permethrin topical is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Permethrin can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Do not use this medication on an infant younger than 2 months without the advice of a doctor.

Elidel (pimecrolimus) is a drug for the treatment of eczema, and rosacea, and is used to control the symptoms of atopic dermatitis (a skin disease that is also called eczema). Pimecrolimus is only used to treat patients who cannot take other medications for atopic dermatitis, or whose symptoms were not controlled by other medications. Pimecrolimus is in a class of medications called immunosuppressants. It works by stopping the immune system from producing substances that cause eczema.

SIDE EFFECTS: Elidel has been linked to cancer in reports made to the FDA (Federal Drug Administration). As a topical immunosuppressant calcineurin inhibitor, Elidel lowers the body's normal immune response, perhaps leading to an even greater risk of cancer.

The FDA issued an Elidel warning on January 19, 2006 requiring the manufacturer to include a boxed warning on Elidel.

The FDA recommends that healthcare providers, patients and caregivers consider the following:

• Avoid use of Elidel in children younger than 2 years of age. The effect of Elidel on the developing immune system in infants and children is not known. In clinical studies, infants and children younger than 2 years old treated with Elidel had a higher rate of upper respiratory infections than did those treated with placebo cream.
• Use Elidel and Protopic only for short periods of time, not continuously. The long-term safety of Elidel and Protopic are unknown.
• Children and adults with a weakened or compromised immune system should not use Elidel.
• Use the minimum amount of Elidel needed to control the patient's symptoms. In animals, increasing the dose resulted in higher rates of cancer.

Note: I left the pricing in the article because I thought they were much higher than prices for the various natural parasite cleanses.
