Dear Dr. Hull,

I would like to thank you for your work. I recently suffered from natural gas poisoning. I had the following symptoms:

1. shortness of breath
2. occasional racing heart
3. hearing loss in one ear
4. vision problems
5. pain in joints (necrosis on one tibia so bad an artificial knee was recommended to me)
6. temperamental
7. memory loss
8. chronic fatigue
9. depression

I was exposed to the gas leak for almost 12 years. Within one week of the leak getting fixed, nearly all of these symptoms listed above, and others, simply vanished.

Anything you can do to help educate people to the dangers of natural gas poisoning would be great. Make sure they know it is different than carbon monoxide poisoning. Natural gas detectors, NOT carbon monoxide detectors, are needed to detect the presence of such problems.
