This is ridiculous. First no aspartame; now no Splenda. Talcum powder was shown to cause skin cancer in the 1980s. I am diabetic, so what do you suggest that I do? Why don't we all just drink water and eat lettuce? So much of this research can be counter-disproved by someone else who says that their research shows the opposite. It's all mad. YOU are all mad.

Don't shoot the messenger. Our modern world is overrun with toxins that no animal should eat, and informing the public of the research proving their harmful effects is nothing to ignore. If YOU choose to go about life using the chemicals proven dangerous to your health, this is YOUR choice and YOUR path.
Do not criticize the mothers of our future generation who need to know this "other side of the diet sweetener" issue; do not deny the truth for the care-givers of the elderly - the elderly in our country are grossly overdosed with unnecessary medications to counter the side-effects of these toxic food chemicals; don't deny a pregnant mother the research to enhance the safe development of a healthy fetus; don't dismiss someone with mental phobias and anxiety proven to be a side-effect of the diet sweeteners. People with diabetes enjoyed life long before artificial sweeteners ever existed, and the incidence of diabetes remained at lower levels back then. If you are a diabetic, research Stevia.
Apathy is a social disease that is epidemic in our country today; I suggest looking inward to become more open-minded and adopting a more positive social influence.
