* Studies at the Charite Hospital in Berlin, Germany have associated high intake of lycopene and vitamin E with a reduced prostate cancer risk.
* The best dietary source of lycopene is tomatoes, but is also found in watermelon and pink grapefruit.
* Studies on sodium fluoride in tap water have shown that excessive fluoride intake may trigger hyperthyroidism.
* A new European study from the U.K. has shown that experiencing loving, close relationships with spouses, relatives or close friends helps lower heart attack and a previous victims' risk of suffering a second cardiovascular event.

* The Journal of the American Medical Association predicts a gross rise in childhood diabetes in children born after the year 2000. Caucasian boys are predicted to increase diabetic risk thirty-three percent, Caucasian girls,
thirty-six percent, African American boys, forty percent, and African American girls forty-nine percent.
