Dear Dr. Hull: Your website regarding aspartame poisoning saved my friend Nancy's life. Nancy is 68 years old and was one step away from entering a nursing home. She suffered from confusion, numerous falls, and her memory was practically gone. It was not safe for her to cook anymore.
As a folk musician, she could no long remember how to play the folk instruments she dearly loved. She worked with her doctor, who reviewed and made changes to her prescriptions. The changes in medications did not improve her condition. She had brain scans, which showed there was dead tissue or some sort of mass in her brain. Further tests ruled out a stroke, Alzheimer's, MS, MD, and brain cancer.
So, what was going on??
Your website changed our lives. I started researching the side effects of aspartame and came across your site. I gave the information to Nancy, who had been using the artificial sweeteners since the age of 14....she's now 68.
She consumed at least 2 liters of Diet Pepsi every day. Her body must have been overly saturated.
Along with Diet Pepsi, unbeknown to her, she had been consuming many other sugar-free products that also contained aspartame.
Upon forwarding your information on aspartame to her, she got off her Diet Pepsi, and has progressively improved. It's now been about 7 weeks. Her brain seems clear again, and she is now functioning like normal. It's a miracle.
She is now getting back to her usual bubbly self, and as musicians, we, The Gospel & Folk Weather Girls, are able to perform again.
We are anxious to see what her upcoming brain scan will reveal, now.
