What is DHEA?

DHEA is the acronym for DEHYDROEPIANDROSTERONE, a human hormone synthesized from pregnenolone and is easily converted into other hormones, especially estrogen and testosterone. DHEA is a steroid hormone, and is considered a ‘chemical cousin’ of testosterone and estrogen.
